chris-uk I took my almost finished wooden boat for a paddle to Hope Cove this morning. Here's a few pics...

I paid the price for heading into the rock gardens, but that's what she was built for!!! That gouge goes through the seam tape.

Quiet lunch stop at Hope

I did the return journey directly across the bay from Hope to Bigbury (3.5 statute miles) in approximately 45-50 minutes with a freshening Southerly wind and with quatering wind chop and a small swell. How does that time sound to you guys? I was pleased with it, especially as the boat is only 14ft long!!!

I'm really pleased, but isn't it weird how quickly you start making changes to your boat...

Chris

feedback I'm going to graphite coat the hull (abrassion resistance) and still need to varnish the whole thing (UV protection) chris-uk New
